My challenge is time – how will this network be promoted after launching it?
Is there any element of self-perpetuating or viral marketing with this?
Fliber is based on exactly the same principal as:
- Hotmail.com with the free email
- Facebook.com to share photos and chat with your friends and family
- Skype to chat and call for free with friends and family
Fliber is = All of the above in a single platform but used for business use.
So to clarify this concept here is an easy explanation from an example we know:
- In early Year 2,000 Live Chat from ICQ and Skype started in the private world for friends and family.
- Nowdays, there is a business use of Live Chat. This is what Liveperson and Promptchat is doing.
So the chat application after its huge success in the private world have entered into the business world.
Fliber is effectively a similar concept:
Facebook and Myspace are huge in the private world. The concept is great for all the reasons we know of. (people getting together and sharing and uniting)
Fliber is basically the same system as Facebook is but it is utilized for business use.
So to answer your question: no you do not need to spend any time growing your network. It will grow virally by itself as facebook does.
- People will not become members to share photos and info about their friends and family. They will go because they are a part of your niche and they want to meet with like minded people and share and discuss things with these like minded people. All these people will have their own member page and member shop on your network – all under your brand – and discuss their “money making ideas for example”. You as the network owner can mass email them once a week to say that you are available for a public chat from 16h-19h Friday evening. (instead of renting hotel rooms etc… – it will save you money too)
This is just one example.
Consider Fliber like a solution for:
- replacing your “brochure” website with a Web 2.0 website
- getting your fans or ‘list’ together under one umbrella – Your umbrella
The emails you are likely to use in the future will be not for selling but to invite your list to a live webcam event, live discussion forums etc…
When you sign up for a plan we will assist with putting together a Social Network strategy for you and if you need technical help we can help with that too.
Have a look at this example social network which was built for movie enthusiasts: http://mubi.com/ (you can login with your facebook account just press Facebook connect – no need to register)
